Background:
Marjorie Dellinger was an up-and-coming CNN reporter when she took on the assignment to breach VIPER and find out who was the new Supreme Serpent that had turned the once laughable agency into a deadly force for terrorism. With the help of an FBI agent named Monahan and her boss at CNN, she faked her death, trained herself to be one of the best computer hackers plus changed her appearance with cosmetic surgery.

It took more than two years for Dellinger to be recruited by VIPER. During that time she wandered the world taking several freelance hacking contracts. She was eventually recruited for VIPER by Ronan O'Neill, a member of the Wild Geese who at the time was also working undercover for VIPER.

After several months working for VIPER, Dellinger was sent with a team of agents to rein in a troublesome VIPER scientist. It turned out that scientist was Joseph Dellinger, her father. Apparently, Joseph Dellinger had been working for VIPER for years. Ever since they killed his wife and threatened to kill his daughter. WHen his daughter "died", Dellinger decided to stop working for VIPER. Marjorie Dellinger was able to help her father escape and to expose much of the workings of the San Francisco VIPER nest. But it had a cost. Joseph Dellinger was paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair, Marjorie body chemistry was completely changed when she took her father's formula and the two were constantly on the run.

They resettled in Hudson City, where Marjorie took her campaign against VIPER a step further by joining with the Hudson Hawk's team as Jade - a paranormal martial artist. Jade did not stop acting as an investigative journalist. She soon became involved in the capture of VF-2 Commander Kevin Armstrong. She attempted to interview Armstrong when he was in jail. During the interview Falswell - who had been posing as her cameraman - entangled Jade and helped Armstrong escape.

In the pursuing months, it is known that Jade had contact with the group that helped Falswell and Armstrong escape - the Wild Geese. Jade was privy to information and secret documents that the Wild Geese stole from PRIMUS. It is also believed that she was romantically involved in one of the Wild Geese's leaders - Ronan O'Neill. It was during this time she became more distant from her teammates. Arguing that PRIMUS was an unethical organization that participated in illegal and morally wrong activities.

Jade was eventually captured by VIPER. Her father had been captured earlier, but Jade won him his freedom by paying $80,000,001 in ransom. It is believed that fellow teammate Olympian provided the money. VIPER announced that it had killed Jade. However, it was later determined that somehow she was transported to another dimension.

She was able to return from this alternate dimension with the Golden Avenger's twin brother. It is believed that Ronan O'Neill along with a mysterious man was able to bring Jade and Alex Johnson. She then left the Hudson Hawks completely and joined the Wild Geese. Jade participated in the breakout that helped free Kevin Armstrong from PRIMUS orbital Stronghold. She is currently wanted by PRIMUS.

Personality/Motivation:
Jade takes an inordinate amount of risk. She has the inquisitive and annoying nature of most reporters. She seems to have taken a fascination with PRIMUS and perceived wrongdoing by the agency. She appears to be dedicated in getting access to classified documents and culling as much information as she can about PRIMUS, VIPER and several other agencies. It has been noted that she hates being entangled. She takes unnecessary risks and can be unpredictable in what she will do.

Appearance:
At last report, Jade was 5' 10" tall with medium length blonde hair and green eyes. She originally looked much different. However, Marjorie Dellinger underwent cosmetic surgery when she went undercover in VIPER. It is not inconceivable that she might opt for some sort of surgery again to change her appearance. As Jade, she usually wears a black costume with green highlights.

Powers:
Jade's father, the scientist Joseph Dellinger, has concocted a formula that works similar to Cyberline. He gave this formula to his daughter when they were on the run from VIPER. It was his belief that his daughter need the additional powers to help protect herself from VIPER's minions. The formula gave Jade a superhuman speed and reaction. When using martial arts she can strike with speed and dexterity, inflicting damage comparable to a Silver Avenger. However, she lacks the training of a Silver Avenger and thus is not as effective as possible. This could change given her new "friends."
