Background

Lisa was born in Santa Barbara, a small city near Highway 101 about hundred miles north of Los Angeles. She was a typical everyday school girl until one night when she was attacked by two men. Alone, hurt, and confused, she did what any everyday school girl can't, she exploded. Actually, she discharged photonic energy in a non-directed manner, but the results were similar. The two men, fell unconscious. A reporter who saw the explosion, asked her, "What happened to these men? And who are you?" Dazed and still confused, her force field looked like small multi-colored twinkling starlight moving across her skin. "Starlight," she said and thus a new superheroine was born.

Developing her powers at age 14 was hard for Lisa. She noticed that it was hard to concentrate some times, but when she did, her ability to learn was phenomenal. She was able to learn six sciences and eight languages. Historic Gaelic, she learned when studying a strange tome that her grandmother wanted her to translate. However, her "star energy" as she used to called it, was constantly being stored in her body. The more she denied herself using her power, the harder it was to control. Soon, she had to realize that she could never maintain a normal life, she brought new meaning to the phrase, "have to go and burn off some energy." Deep down, she is afraid that she will be put away to "protect herself and others" and thus she is extra motivated to be a superheroine and not a natural disaster. At age 28, her powers have mostly stabilized. She has earned her doctorates in paranormal biology and is currently working on her doctorate in genetics.

Powers and Tactics

Starlight has the ability to hover or fly up to speeds over 200 mph. Her strength can lift a small car, but her main weapon is her ability to stun, wound or blind people with her energy bolts. Her main defense is an energy field that protects her. In combat, she will use her tactics to gain an advantage. Unfortunately, she is not combat-trained and if her side is overrun she is likely to panic and keep blasting until she calms down. She also has been known to rush into combat to free or protect innocent victims.

Personality/ Motivation

Scared of her identity being discovered, Lisa is completely professional. She does not socialize, is quite bookish, and will be very private without being shy. Her views on paranormal reflect only cold logic with only the slightest hint of compassion.

The Starlight persona is the emotional outlet for Lisa but she does not hide her intelligence but rather compensates by being quite flighty. Starlight appears to be in her early twenties and seems unburdened by anything.
