Assault Agent
Terry Kestler (San Francisco):
Terry
is one of the youngest women involved in PRIMUS, having just turned
23. She had initally intended to work in PRIMUS' Accounting division,
since her degree was in accounting; however, her history as a
gymnast at Stanford and her moderate tolerance of Cyberline led
the young woman to decide on a career as an assault agent.
Kestler
is an attractive woman, strong and fast even before she started
treatment with Cyberline. Her height -- 5'10 -- had made a career
in gymnastics an impossibility; besides, Kestler was too practical
to be interested in a career so fleeting.
Currently
Kestler works closely with Maria Chow, serving as her primary
aide. Kester's combat skills are being improved, and she is working
on developing stronger group tactical skills. Her high level of
motivation has led to investigations of her own, and Kestler seeks
as many combat-oriented missions as she can. It is expected that
Kester will be promoted to Agent Commander within five years.
Appearance:
Kestler is 5'10, with slightly longer than shoulder length blond
hair. Her eyes are a dark blue, and she alternatively exudes youthful
exuberance and cautiousness. She wears the PRIMUS Assault agent's
blue uniform when in the field, though usually she comes to work
dressed in suits.
Quote:
"Just a moment -- I believe form 84B is on Silver Avenger
Chow's desk. Oh, never mind. I'll just call you back when I find
it."
Agent
Commander Brad Yerington (Hudson
City):
Brad
is one of the most respected Agent Commanders in PRIMUS -- he
started with the organization when PRIMUS was little more than
a collection of offices in a D.C. basement. Now in his late 50s,
Cyberline has preserved Yerington -- he looks little more than
45.
A
highly decorated veteran of Korea and Vietnam, Yerington earned
the Congressional Medal of Honor in his third tour in Vietnam.
He was handpicked by General Hawkins for his first job in PRIMUS
-- that of directing assault troops. After the organization was
more firmly established, he moved north to Hudson City, to take
command of the agents there. While he has been offered the post
of Base Commander more than once, he continues to decline that
and other promotions.
Yerington's
personal life is a shambles; like many Medal of Honor winners,
the things he saw in the war were horrific to the extreme, and
he is haunted by ghosts of his former comrades, as well as the
men he'd killed. His marriage collapsed in the late 70s, and other
than occasional dalliances, Yerington steers clear of relationships.
He is on excellent terms with his men, most of whom fear him.
Appearance:
Yerington is 5'11, with a full head of blonde hair, only slightly
given to gray. He holds himself erect, and appraises every situation
with a discriminating eye.
Quote:
"Listen up, men. Those nutcases in VIPER have hit nearly
every bank between here and the river. It's our job to stop them,
so MOVE!"
Medical
Response Team:
The
PRIMUS Medical Corps has gone through several revisions since
the organization's inception in the 1960s. While PRIMUS was still
a paramilitary organization, the medical corps consisted of military
doctors, nurses, and medics. After the group became a civilian
agency, it was first adminstered through the Public Health Service,
though now PRIMUS has its own medical staff. Medical Response
Teams are expected to risk their lives; as such, they receive
hazardous duty pay in addition to a generous salary.
Dr.
Reggie Thompson (Washington, D.C.)
Reggie
(Regina) Thompson has been a PRIMUS physician since 1990, when
she transfered from the Navy. A flight surgeon who completed her
residency at Bethesda in emergency medicine, her duties now range
from routine fitness for duty checks on PRIMUS personnel to responding
to emergency situations.
Reggie
is 5'6, with black hair and green eyes. She is slender and attractive.
She has a dry sense of humor and nothing disgusts her --
she happily chats about the most complicated of bowel resections
with fellow medical personnel, not even noticing the lunchroom
empting around them. Despite this, Dr. Thompson is well liked,
and sympathetic to the agents she treats.
Quote:
"Oh, you aren't going to eat the cheesecake, Avenger Johnson?
Mind if I do? Thanks." (smiles to self.)
Pete Hanson
(Hudson City):
Pete
has only recently become part of the PRIMUS Medical Response Team
in Hudson City -- he was previously a firefighter who was injured
in a five alarm fire started by VIPER agents. He was rescued from
a burning warehouse by Firehawk, Stephen Hawkins' wife, who took
an interest in his recovery. His back had been injured, and while
he was no longer able to continue with the Hudson City Fire Department,
he decided to turn his attention to becoming an EMT. After working
with PRIMUS for over a year, he's decided to start attending college,
eventually leading to medical school.
Pete
is still in good physical condition, at 6'1 and 220 pounds --
almost all of it muscle. In his early thirties, Pete has brown
hair and eyes, and wears the PRIMUS medical response uniform.
He spends his on-call time at the base studying. His interest
in Avenger Hawkins' wife is a little more than platonic, but he's
too much the gentleman to ever act on it. He is protective of
"his"agents, and is known to boss civilian physicians
around when their welfare is at stake.
Quote:"I
know you're new, Dr. Faraday, but you have to remember -- half
a milligram of morophine put Silver Avenger Hawkins into a coma
for a week!"
