Silver Avenger Robert Webster, Fort Worth TX
Background Robert Anderson Webster was born in Morocco to an Air Force officer and his wife. Raised around the globe and always having to make frequent moves, Robert learned quickly that the best way to make friends and to fit in was to make people laugh. Over time, he perfected his technique to an art form. He loved the attention he received from his funny-guy act, discovering in high school that it also helped get him girls. Fortunately for him, he also discovered a talent for his studies -- and discovered the joy of attention in receiving good grades. Robert Webster's father retired when the Amarillo, TX base was closed, and his parents settled in Austin. He attended Texas A&M on a football scholarship and received a degree in civil engineering, all while seeing a steady stream of sorority girls. After graduation, bored by the thought of a job in an engineering firm, he decided to join the Air Force, to his father's enthusiastic approval. Three years after receiving his commission, Robert was tested for Cyberline tolerance, along with all other officers. He was one of the five pecent who was compatible, and after thorough testing -- for personality and otherwise -- he was offered a place in the soon-to-be-formed Avenger Corps. He jumped at the chance. Unfortunately, in the intervening years there have been few opportunities for Robert to distinguish himself. The powerful Texas oil interests lobbied hard for their state to have two PRIMUS bases -- on in Houston, one in Fort Worth -- but there simply isn't the same degree of paranormal crime in Texas that there is in California (the only other state with two PRIMUS bases). By and large, Robert has been bored. He assists local police more than the other Avengers, as it's a way for him to at least get out and use his skills. He also diverts himself in local society -- he and his new girlfriends always make the society pages. Personality Appearance Quote
