PRIMUS Agents: San Francisco
This is a face-to-face game I'll be running about once a month in the Portland, OR area. We already have a full team of players, but lurkers are welcome here or on the game's Yahoo! Group. The PCs are agents or support staff at the San Francisco PRIMUS Base, under the direction of Silver Avenger Maria Chow. Agents part of an Avenger's team conduct special investigations under the Avenger's guidance. This assignment is considered to be one of the best available to both assault and intelligence agents, a way of getting the attention from the powers-that-be. Support staffers may be medical, legal, or technical personnel (such as network engineers). The SF Base was originally one of the smallest, as paranormal crime in the West had been largely concentrated in Los Angeles and Phoenix (primarly drug running using paranoramls as enforcers and transporters). In the last ten years, the Bay Area has been hit hard by an ever-increasing VIPER presence and numerous independent supervillains. The base covers the territory of Northern California and most of Nevada, handling cases ranging from drug interdiction (usually involving independent villains and VIPER) to kidnapping to bank robberies and high-tech theft. Four assault agent squads, two dozen intelligence agents and two Iron Guard units are based out of San Francisco, in addition to Avenger Chow's team. The PCs will be handling special assignments and investigations given to them by Avenger Chow, as well as investigations of their own design. Character
Creation Non-agent characters must have the Normal Human Characteristic Maxima (for no points) but may have one small superpower of 30 active points or less; this MUST be approved by me. PRIMUS does not routinely check for "powers" among its contractors, but anyone with an obvious power would not find themselves employed for long. Agent characters may purchase additional BPs, commendations and awards as per the rules in the PRIMUS Sourcebook. Non-agent PCs do not receive BPs or equipment allotments. Take a look at the posts on the Yahoo! Group for more character guidelines. I've created a page explaining the Brownie Point system, too. |
