Officially, other organizations are to be treated with neutrality. In fact, Chessmen see themselves as a sort of clean-up crew for other agencies who fail in their jobs. The FBI, PRIMUS, and UNTIL are regarded as bunglers who might be able to do a decent job if they could get past their own red tape. Starguard International is a valuable but anonymous ally and some of the weapons which fill the Chessmen arsenal were designed by Starguard. Rumor has it that Doctor Quest, founder of Starguard, is a Player. This is a Pawn rumor. PRIMUS and UNTIL are beginning to become aware of Chessmen, but they have only rudimentary knowledge at this point, based on garbled accounts of agents.
