Agent Kate Williams, Washington D.C.

Background
People meeting Kate Williams for the first time assume she's a schoolteacher, a nurse or a secretary: generally a profession that is typically female, typically a very feminine female. No one would guess she's a PRIMUS agent or that she's one of the agency's best computer security specialists.

She joined PRIMUS as a contractor, initially, working at the Washington D.C. base in the IT department. Though quiet and reserved, Williams' brilliance soon manifested in the development of the MATRIX, PRIMUS' massive computer system.

She was called upon more and more to assist with base investigations; when the Golden Avenger wished to access privileged information that was not -- ahem -- readily available, it was to Ms. Williams' office that he, or his staff, would go. In time, Agent Marc MacGowan started to joke that she ought to become an agent, given how much time she spent working on agent investigations. The Golden Avenger even commented that he'd give her a place on his staff if she decided to follow through with the idea.

Though she would rather die than admit it, that is exactly the reason she gave up her contractor's salary and submitted to the rigors of the PRIMUS Academy: working for the Golden Avenger directly meant she'd work even more closely with Agent MacGowan. Williams has been in love with the charismatic agent since the first day they met.

She lives with her brother in a Georgetown condo they purchased together. Her brother, James, works for the NSA.

Combat/Tactics
Agent Williams is a paranormal, though she does not know it. Oh, to be sure she knows she is intelligent; her IQ test told her that. But her brilliance is inhuman and her ability to determine what is a trap and what is not online has saved her several times. She does not like combat in any situation, but when confronted with a violent situation, she will always prefer to shoot from a distance.

Personality
Agent Williams is quite shy and very devoted to her work. She puts in sixty to eighty hour weeks, every week, and has taken little vacation time. Though she does not like to speak in front of crowds, she is often called upon to do so and to conduct training sessions.

Appearance
Thin, with brown hair and hazel eyes, Agent Williams could be a pretty woman if she gained enough in confidence and dressed to accent her looks. The suits she wears to work are dowdy and would be more suited to a woman twice her age (she's 35).
